CATTECH — SASU
Terms of Use & Privacy Policy
Version in force as of October 30, 2026
Article 1 — Purpose and scope
These Terms of Use (hereinafter the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the GoBarth community platform, available at www.gobarth.com (hereinafter the “Platform”), published by CATTECH, a French single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company (SASU) with a share capital of 500 euros, whose registered office is at 9, rue Pitea, Gustavia, 97133 Saint-Barthélemy, registered under number 100 140 235.
GoBarth is a local community hub whose purpose is to connect the residents and businesses of Saint-Barthélemy, by enabling them to share information, publish deals and job offers, contact each other directly, sell items between individuals and browse a directory of local businesses.
Any use of the Platform implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms. Users who do not accept these Terms must refrain from using the Platform.
Article 2 — Registration and user account
2.1 Creating an account
Access to all of GoBarth's features requires an account. Users undertake to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when registering, in particular their full name, email address and role (Resident or Business). Each user may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts or impersonating another person is strictly prohibited.
2.2 Minimum age
Registration on GoBarth is reserved for persons aged at least 16. By registering, users declare that they have reached the required age. CATTECH reserves the right to suspend or delete any account belonging to a person under the minimum age.
2.3 Account security
Users are solely responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential. They undertake to inform CATTECH immediately of any unauthorized use of their account at contact@gobarth.com. CATTECH cannot be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from a failure to comply with this obligation.
2.4 Business account
Access to the features reserved for businesses (publishing deals and job offers, managing a business listing) requires selecting the “Business” role when registering and the validation of the business profile by the GoBarth team. CATTECH reserves the right to refuse or revoke this status without prior justification.
Article 3 — Description of the services
The GoBarth Platform offers the following services:
- News feed — publication and browsing of posts by listed businesses

- Direct messaging — private exchanges between users
- Business directory — browsing of geolocated business listings
These services are provided free of charge to users. CATTECH reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the services at any time, without notice, without incurring any liability.
Article 4 — Rules of conduct and prohibited content
Users undertake to use the Platform fairly, in accordance with its purpose and with the laws and regulations in force. The following are prohibited in particular:
- Publishing content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, violent, discriminatory or that undermines human dignity
- Any content glorifying crime or inciting hatred
- Publishing false or misleading information
- Unauthorized commercial solicitation, spam or unsolicited advertising
- Any attempt to disrupt the operation of the Platform (hacking, injection, denial of service, etc.)
- Impersonation or the creation of fake accounts
- Collecting other users' personal information without their consent
- Reselling or sub-licensing access to the Platform
CATTECH reserves the right to remove without notice any content that breaches these rules and to suspend or terminate the account of the user concerned.
Article 5 — Content published by users
5.1 Editorial responsibility
Users are solely responsible for the content (text, images, information) they publish on the Platform. CATTECH does not exercise prior editorial control over such content and cannot be held responsible for its lawfulness, accuracy or relevance. By publishing content, users warrant that they hold all the necessary rights to it and that it does not infringe the rights of third parties.
5.2 License granted to CATTECH
By publishing content on the Platform, users grant CATTECH a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, for as long as the content is kept, to use, reproduce, display and distribute that content for the operation and promotion of the Platform.
Article 6 — Marketplace — Classified ads
The Platform provides users with a space to publish ads for sales between individuals. GoBarth acts solely as a technical intermediary and is not a party to transactions between sellers and buyers. CATTECH does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or accuracy of the ads published, nor the ability of users to complete a transaction. Any transaction is carried out under the sole responsibility of the parties concerned.
Users are reminded that certain transactions are prohibited by law (sale of stolen goods, dangerous products, weapons, illegal substances, etc.). Users undertake not to publish ads for such items.
Article 7 — Direct messaging
The Platform offers a messaging service allowing private exchanges between users. Users undertake not to use messaging for harassment, unsolicited commercial solicitation, fraud or any other use contrary to these Terms. CATTECH does not read the content of private messages, except where required by law or following a well-founded report by a third party.
Article 8 — Moderation, reporting and blocking
8.1 Reporting content or a user
Any user may report a post, deal, job offer, event, classified ad, business listing or conversation that they consider contrary to these Terms or to the law, using the “Report” button available on each of them, by selecting a reason (spam or abusive advertising, harassment or hate speech, shocking or inappropriate content, scam or fraud, other) and, if they wish, adding details. A report may also be sent to contact@gobarth.com.
8.2 Blocking a user
Any user may block another user from a private conversation or when making a report. Blocking prevents any exchange of messages between the two people and hides the blocked person's posts and group messages from the user. The list of blocked people is available in “My account”, where a block can be lifted at any time. The blocked person is not notified.
8.3 Handling of reports
Reports are reviewed by the GoBarth team as soon as possible, normally within 24 hours. CATTECH has broad moderation rights allowing it to remove any content and to suspend or terminate any account, without notice or compensation, where the reported content or behavior breaches these Terms or the law. Users who make abusive or bad-faith reports are liable to the same measures.
Article 9 — Intellectual property
The GoBarth Platform, its components (logo, interface, architecture, text, graphics) and the GoBarth brand are the exclusive property of CATTECH and are protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction, representation, modification, adaptation, translation or exploitation, in whole or in part, by any means whatsoever, without the prior written authorization of CATTECH, is strictly prohibited and would constitute infringement.
Article 10 — Limitation of liability
CATTECH undertakes to use all reasonable means to ensure the availability and continuity of the Platform, without however guaranteeing them. CATTECH cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the Platform, from content published by users, from transactions concluded between users, or from service interruptions due to external causes (maintenance, outages, acts of third parties, force majeure).
In any event, CATTECH's liability may not exceed the amounts received from the user during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the damage.
Article 11 — Suspension and termination
Users may delete their account at any time from the settings of their personal space or by sending a request to contact@gobarth.com. Deletion results in the erasure of personal data under the conditions described in Part II below.
CATTECH may suspend or terminate an account without notice in the event of a serious breach of these Terms, fraudulent behavior or infringement of the rights of third parties.
Article 12 — Changes to the Terms
CATTECH reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect as soon as they are published online. Users will be informed by email of any substantial change. Continued use of the Platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Article 13 — Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall, failing an amicable agreement, be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts. In accordance with the French Consumer Code, consumer users are informed that they may use a conventional mediation procedure or any other alternative dispute resolution method.
